A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT BANKER

Monday: There's a new analyst in the office. While he is in the bathroom, another co-worker sneaks over and uses his computer to send an email to our V.P. which says: "I quit. Consider this my 2-week notice"

Tuesday: I find a new topic for me and my coworkers to bond over: The Hills on MTV. We talk about how LC gave up Paris for Jason. I ask them if they caught the latest episode of Cheyenne. From the look on their faces, I took it too far.

Wednesday: I print out a cash flow model for one of the directors. While giving it to him, I accidentally gleek on the printout.

Thursday: After 10 PM, some of the associates start playing "I want it that way" by the Backstreet Boys and singing along to it. It is funny what working 80+ hours per week does to people.

Friday: I tell my boss that Paris Hilton will be at the Best Buy a block away from the office signing pictures. 10 minutes later, he sends me an email which says "Tell her to sign this." Attached was a picture of Paris getting banged by some guy from her porn tape. I can't even begin to imagine how bad that would look if i asked her to sign that.
